TOURNAMENT UPDATES Elite Nationals, Ontario Winter Games, Pacific International and Edmonton Inter

Tora Judo club has been busy over the last few months.

The Elite Nationals were held in Quebec in January. James Lonsdale place first in his U18 -66kg division, while Deanna Barnes placed 5th in her U18 -63kg division.

Ontario Winter Games were held in Orillia Ontario on March 2nd, Jordan Achico represented the club and took first place in the -48kg divison.

On the same weekend we headed to Richmond, BC for the Pacific International where Deanna Barnes placed 9th in both her U18 and Senior division -57kg category, while Ryan Conklin-Bric placed 5th in his U18 -55kg division losing out in the bronze medal match, and placed 2nd in his Senior -55kg division.

Keeping up with our busy schedule heading to Edmonton, Alberta for the Edmonton International Tournament on March 10th and 11th. Trenton Achico started the weekend with a 2nd place finish in his U14 -34kg category and 5th in his U16 -38kg category. Jordan Achico had a strong start to the day with a quick victory in her first fight but ended up being pulled due to an injury, finishing in 5th place. Deanna Barnes was pulled due to an injury.
