2018 Tora 39th Annual Tournament

Tora Judo Club held its 39th annual Shiai at Brampton Soccer Centre on April 28th. There were over 400 competitors for the day. The club had good representation with 23 competitors.

The club had had 13 competitors finish in the top three. Leading the club with multiple medals were Ryan Conklin-Bric and Deanna Barnes.

First place went to Ryan Conklin-Bric for his U18 and Senior Division, Tullio Sgambelluri and Alexandrea Flores.

Second place competitors were Deanna Barnes in her Senior division, Alexia Fiaes, Chloe Flores, Logan Kinsley and Khashi Bhaskar.

Third place competitors were Deanna Barnes in her U18 division and Trenton Achico. In Kata Sensei Grant Kuramoto and Sensei Roland Chalons placed in Goshin-Jitsu while Sensei Heather West and Sensei Tony Kelly placed in Juno-Kata.

Other competitors performed well Domenico Sgambelluri, Emil Bosquet, Andrew Rangoo, Philip Manrique-Reyes, Elias Amador-Wilson and Avi Samra. In Kata Steven Bric and Ryan Conklin-Bric
